Our Immigrant Stories: America Does Not Ban

As we work hard to make sure Congress and Trump hear our opposition to a blanket ban on citizens from Muslim-majority countries, we also need to share our immigrant stories to change the hearts and minds of our representatives – as well as our friends and neighbors. Over the years, we’ve held thousands of meetings with Members of Congress, and have witnessed time and again how personal stories are the most effective way to change minds about even the most seemingly intractable issues.

If you think your Member of Congress should know how a ban on immigrants would impact your life, share your story. Because your story IS the American story. #AmericaDoesNotBan

Make no mistake: Whether you are Muslim or not, the normalization of the language of hatred and racism against Middle Easterners will affect us all.” – Reza Aslan, Religious Scholar, NIAC Advisory Board Member
