CNN: Reza Marashi talks to Frederik Pleitgen

“When you compare the domestic politics in Tehran and in Washington, it’s actually more contentious in Washington right now. The reason why I say that is because the Parliament in Iran has ceded its authority to accept or reject the deal to Iran’s National Security Council. The majority of Iran’s National Security Council have long been on the record supporting the deal. looking ahead, I think that’s going to be the critical difference: we don’t know which way Congress is going to go; it’s going to be a fight. We do know that the Parliament can have a lot of bark, but at the end of the day, they’ve ceded their authority to actually bite.”
