Senators Must Oppose New Sanctions, Reject Trump’s Arms Sale

Tell Congress: New sanctions on Iran and selling billions in arms to Saudi Arabia send us down a perilous path!

We can’t afford to be silent when the administration and Congress escalate confrontation with Iran and approve massive arms deals to further destabilize the Middle East and beyond. These actions will only increase the odds of the U.S. and Iran backsliding into war.

Support Members of Congress who are holding a vote to block part of the new arms sale to Saudi Arabia! U.S. Senators Rand Paul (R-KY), Chris Murphy (D-CT) and Al Franken (D-MN) have introduced a joint resolution of disapproval to block the U.S. from selling Saudi Arabia new bombs that would be dropped on Yemen. House Representatives Justin Amash (R-MI) and Mark Pocan (D-WI) have introduced similar legislation in the House of Representatives.

Your Senators and Representative should support these bills – and Senators should also block the passage of new sanctions that undermine diplomacy with Iran.

There is no shortage of weaponry in the Middle East, but there is a shortage of serious diplomacy aimed at resolving the conflicts afflicting the region. Take action today to ensure that your Senator supports inclusive diplomacy, and not more war.
