The Iranian-American Bar Association, formed in 2000 in the District of Columbia, provides law students with the opportunity to obtain one of three scholarships: the IABA Foundation scholarship, the Inaugural Judge Iravani-Sani Public Interest Scholarship and IABA NorCal Scholarships.
The IABA scholarship was designed to help advance law students in the Iranian-American community, giving one or more scholarships each year to law students who have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of the Iranian-American community.
The inaugural Judge Iravani-Sani Public Interest Scholarship will support a law student of Iranian heritage who is pursuing public service law.
IABA NorCal will grant two different scholarships to support law students of Iranian heritage: a public interest scholarship, for students pursuing a summer internship or clerkship in public interest; and a general scholarship, for law students that have shown leadership or commitment to the advancement of the Iranian-American community.
