Judge Tabbador, who had been ordered to recuse herself from all cases involving Iranians after attending a White House meeting with other Iranian-American community leaders, should be commended for fighting back against this clear case of discrimination based on her Iranian descent. Iranian Americans are a highly accomplished group that forms a rich part of the fabric of American life, and have the inalienable right to voice their opinion on civic affairs without discrimination. This outcome upholds and strengthens that right, and should be welcomed.”
