“I think the fact that the day went off relatively peacefully, there were no reports of any major kind of violence or disturbances taking place, that can generally be taken as positive,” says Reza Marashi. “I think that’s a testament for the Iranian people and their willingness to go to the poll at relatively high numbers.”
