NIAC Waiver of Liability

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.  THIS IS A LEGAL AGREEMENT THAT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

1. 1. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY
      In consideration for the opportunity to participate in the National Iranian American Council’s (NIAC) events, I hereby release and forever discharge and hold harmless NIAC and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, successors and/or assigns (collectively “NIAC”) from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from my travel to/from and participation in NIAC events, and the making and use of any and all photographs, recordings or transcriptions as set forth in section III, below (all the foregoing together called “the event”). In addition, I agree to reimburse NIAC for any and all costs or liabilities it incurs as a result of my participation in the event, except for those expenses NIAC has agreed in writing to pay.I understand that I will be expected to follow NIAC’s instructions and reasonable rules of behavior and failure to do so may result in an immediate dismissal from the event.

      Furthermore, I agree not to interact with or engage any anti-NIAC activists I may encounter in the course of the event.

   2. MEDICAL WAIVER
      I release and forever discharge NIAC from any claim that arises or may hereafter arise because of first aid, treatment or emergency medical service rendered to me in connection with NIAC events and agree to assume and reimburse any and all medical costs incurred by NIAC related to such treatment. I have voluntarily identified any allergies and pertinent medical disclosures (medications, conditions, etc.), to be used in the event of a medical emergency, at the end of this document.
   3. COVID COMPLIANCE
      I agree to follow all state and local guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic while participating in NIAC events. This includes, but is not limited to, mask requirements and social distancing guidelines.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I HAVE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO ASK QUESTIONS AND NEGOTIATE REGARDING  ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDES A WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND AN ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND I SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
