Washington DC – Contact your Senator and tell them to support Senator Webb’s amendment to the FY07 supplemental appropriations bill prohibiting use of funds for military operations in Iran without Congressional authorization. After Congress withdrew a provision from a war spending bill that would require the President to seek congressional approval before using military force against Iran, a similar provision introduced by Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) will be considered by the Senate this week. If passed, the amendment will create a significant obstacle to war between the US and Iran.
