I want to take a brief moment to thank you for supporting NIAC with your contribution in 2022 and helping us hit our budgetary needs. The end of last year was certainly full of turbulence and division within the Iranian-American community, but we were able to hit our end of year fundraising goals thanks to your support — and I want to reach out to personally thank you.
In December alone, we set a goal to raise $50,000 to ensure a strong financial finish to allow us to start the new year on solid financial footing – and thanks to you and many other supporters we not only met our goal but surpassed it by 35%! I am beyond grateful for your support, partnership, and steadfast commitment to our values and principles. The collective generosity of our members, donors, and community allows us to continue our ever-important community outreach and advocacy efforts into 2023.
As the turmoil and uncertainty inside Iran grows, our principled advocacy at home based on the values of self-determination and putting people above politics matters more than ever. NIAC members have a long history of being a crucial voice and having a seat at the table in Washington and across the country where decisions are made. That work must not only continue into 2023 – we must grow and evolve our work to achieve the change we want to see in policy, political representation, and for the health of our Iranian-American community.
