Chicago, IL – Last week, the National Iranian American Council presented a brief Amicus Curiae to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District Illinois Eastern Division in a lawsuit that seeks to seize and auction off thousands of historic Persian artifacts of substantial historical importance currently on display at the University of Chicago. The brief, which is available here for download, was prepared by the law firm Mayer Brown, to provide an avenue for the concerns of the Iranian-American community to be heard by the court. Support NIAC’s efforts to protect the Persepolis tablets – send a letter to President Obama today and ask him to prevent the auction of our cultural heritage! |
