Washington, DC – Please join NIAC at the bi-annual Conference on the Iranian Diaspora. The conference brings together scholars, students, and members of the global community to discuss the current state, accomplishments, and future of the Iranian Diaspora community. Past topics of discussion at the conference have included identity, gender, migration, community-building, and leadership. Over the past years, the three International Conferences on the Iranian Diaspora have attracted more than 800 participants. Through the questions and issues that are raised, the conference has proved a valuable starting point in identifying and addressing the needs of the Iranian Diaspora community.
NIAC is pleased to sponsor this conference which aims to address both the accomplishments within the Iranian Diaspora community and the issues the community is currently facing. Hosted by Iranian Alliances Across Borders and co-hosted by the Iranian Student Alliance of America, the Fourth International Conference on the Iranian Diaspora during the weekend of April 4-5, 2009 at the University of California, Berkeley’s Pauley Ballroom. Iranian Alliances Across Borders will also be hosting a night of entertainment with guest performers in Pauley Ballroom on Saturday, April 4, 2009.
