Plain Logo ImageWashington, DC – Thanks to the overwhelming support from our members, we are pleased to announce the expansion of our Ambassador Program. “After the Ambassador Program launch on February 4, we had several members write requesting to help in our efforts to build and sustain relations with our members across the U.S. This is truly a testament to the unity and strength of our community – we couldn’t be happier,” said Nobar Elmi, Director of Community Outreach and Programming.

We welcome the following NEW Ambassadors to our 2011 Roster:

  • Hamid Reza Abdollahi – Lincoln, RI
  • Navid Alipour – San Diego, CA
  • Shawn Amoei – Dallas, TX
  • Salman Borhani – Los Angeles, CA
  • Hooman Hedayati – Austin, TX
  • Haleh Miraftabzadeh – Rockville, MD
  • Tommy Pourmahram – Houston, TX
  • Nasrin Rahimieh – Irvine, CA
  • Reza Rezvani – San Francisco, CA
  • Amir Salehzadeh – San Francisco, CA

The Program expansion will allow us to better serve our members by providing more customized and regular events, activities and information. “As the largest Iranian-American grassroots organization, we’re excited to engage with and involve our members across the U.S.,” said Lily Samimi, Program Associate.

We are currently working with our Ambassadors to plan exciting events and activities, which will be listed in the calendar section of our website. First up on our to-do list is working with our Ambassadors to plan meaningful projects for each city during our first annual National Iranian American Day of Service, being held on Saturday, March 12.
