Former Ansar-e Hezbollah Founder Criticizes the Iranian Leadership

Masoud Dehnamaki
According to Kodoom, Masoud Dehnamaki co-founder of Ansar-e Hezbollah has indicated that “today’s leadership has distanced itself from the path of the Imam [Khomeini]”. Dehnamaki who was once a staunch supporter of the establishment, has recently voiced his disapproval of the Iranian leadership.
“Members of this government should rely on the rule of law and not put their eggs in one basket. This government came into power by making claims against others for being corrupt, however they themselves have committed acts of corruption. And since there is no credibility and accountability for his government, corruption will remain.”
Dehnamaki quoted Ayatollah Khomeini by stating: “whoever makes money manipulating religion is a fox”. This is a small segment of Khomeini’s famous quote which was:
“There are six types of people: lions, wolves, foxes, dogs, pigs and sheep. It is the foxes that make a living through using and manipulating religion, what appears on their lips is not what is in their hearts.”
