Hoodline: Vigil Tonight At UN Plaza For Victims Of Iran Terror Attack

NIAC Field organizer Donna Farvard told Hoodline that she’s expecting as many as fifty people to turn out for tonight’s vigil to honor the victims of yesterday’s terror attack in Tehran. “The show of support on our Facebook page is much larger right now,” she said. Tonight’s gathering, co-sponsored by the Iranian-American Bar Association, “is just an opportunity for us to show our love and support for our Iranian brothers and sisters who were affected by the attacks,” Farvard said. She estimated that there are “more than 1,000” Iranian-Americans living in San Francisco. “It’s important that when confronted with acts of hate, we come out and show the love and support instead,” she said.
