The U.S. and Iran: On a Collision Course?

The snapback of sanctions has taken a heavy toll on Iran’s economy, yet Iran has ruled out further negotiations with the United States while continuing to implement the nuclear accord. Moreover, regional tensions continue to escalate, with Iran responding with missile strikes on alleged ISIS targets in Syria in response to a deadly terror attack in Ahvaz on September 22.

Is the Trump administration replicating the North Korea playbook with Iran? What impact are sanctions having on the Iranian economy? And, can the nuclear accord survive amid the pressure campaign?

Join us on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM in the Gold Room of the Rayburn Building (Room 2168) for an expert discussion on the state of play of U.S. policy toward Iran.

* Particularly for those guests who are not Hill staffers, please allow sufficient time to get through security.
