Reject Hate: Pushing Back Against Bigotry and Discrimination

Join the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) and Iranian Alliances Across Borders (IAAB) for an enlightening and uplifting panel discussion on dealing with the rise of hate in the United States. This timely discussion will take place two days after the Presidential inauguration. Hear from Yasmine Taeb, legislative representative for human rights and civil liberties at FCNL, Karen Monahan, senior organizer for the Sierra Club, Ben Shnider, National Political Director for J Street PAC, Devon J. Crawford, Humanity in Action senior fellow at the NAACP, and Andy Shallal, founder of Busboys and Poets!

Panelists will explore how we - as activists, community leaders, students, and educators - can prevent hate and discrimination from becoming mainstream in our politics, our communities, and our schools.

The panel discussion will take place at Watha T. Daniel/Shaw Neighborhood Libray in the WTD Meeting Room on January 22 at 1:30 PM. Admission is free, but RSVP is required below.
