NIAC is holding our very first Know Your Governance lecture in Orange County!

There will be bilingual materials available in Farsi and English.

Come to our "Know Your Governance" event to learn:
1. How does the US government work on the federal, state, and city levels?
2. Why should we be active in the political scene as Iranians?
3. How does voting affect our daily lives?

League of Women Voters of Orange Coast
Michele Musacchio coordinates the voter education program as Voter Service co-chair with the League of Women Voters of Orange Coast, serving sixteen cities in South County from Seal Beach down to San Clemente. She presents ballot proposition Pros & Cons, offers voter registration training, engages voters at high school and college campuses, and recruits Orange County candidates to participate in the League’s ballot lookup tool, Voter’s Edge California. The League of Women Voters (LWV) encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. 


Orange County Registrar of Voters (will provide voter registration at the event)
Jackie Wu is the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ Community Outreach Manager. She oversees community engagement, bilingual poll worker recruitment, and compliance with federal and state language assistance mandates. Prior to joining the Orange County Registrar of Voters, Jackie was an Administrative Analyst with the City of Palos Verdes Estates and was the Policy Manager for the Orange County Asian Pacific Islander Community Alliance.
