Dr. Shokooh Miry is a clinical psychologist in practice in California. She holds advanced degrees with honors from UC Berkeley and Stanford University. She completed her doctorate in psychology in 2008, while simultaneously completing a graduate degree in liberal arts and authoring a master’s thesis on modern Iranian politics. Dr. Miry completed her clinical training at Duke University Medical Center and was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University Hospital. Her research interests and clinical work center on evidence-based treatments for mental illness. Dr. Miry serves on the boards of several high-impact, non-profit organizations. Her clinical practice is open to survivors of political imprisonment in Iran on a pro-bono basis.
