Mohammad Ladjevardian was born in Kobe, Japan in 1955 and has been a United States citizen since 1980. His family was one of the largest industrialist families in Iran.
Coming to the United States in 1970, he attended the Deerfield Academy from 1970 to 1973 followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 1973 to 1977 receiving a Bachelor of Science with high honors. He then completed an intense management training from 1977 to 1978 with DuPont & Company. Mr. Ladjevardian finalized his studies at Harvard Business School from 1978 to 1980 receiving a Master in Business Administration and specializing in International Finance.
Mohammad has been extensively involved in real estate investments and operating companies in the United States and Eastern Europe. He has been managing money in a hedge fund for thirty-five years in the U.S. market as well as European and South American markets.
Mr. Ladjevardian has been the President of United Capital Investments and Properties, Inc. for thirty-six years. He is a Board Member of First Prosperity Bank of Texas and he was the Chairman of Home Fashion Technology and The Houston Polo Club. The Ladjevardians are also boardmembers of the MD Anderson Cancer Institute, each for America, Texas Children’s Hospital and UNICEF.
Mohammad is especially proud of being a father of two daughters, Leila, 27 and Tara, 25. Mohammad and his family have lived in Houston, Texas for over thirty years and they are proud to call themselves Houstonians. Mohammad is among the leadership of the Iranian/American Community in Texas. He currently lives between Houston, D.C. and Paris.
