We have been conducting a flurry of meetings in Washington to ensure the Biden Administration and members of the House and Senate are fully informed and taking the right steps to stand with the Iranian people.
Iran responded to the U.S. views on a draft JCPOA text. Rhetoric from U.S. and Iranian officials indicates a deal is close but that differences remain. Meanwhile, a water shortage has spurred protests in Hamedan and Narges Mohammadi faces new charges.
Iran has given its response to an EU proposal to revive the JCPOA. The U.S. has yet to respond to the Iranian revision, but it has been described as “constructive” by some sources. Meanwhile, Iranian officials are calling for a “prisoner swap” with the U.S. and the water supply to an Iranian city has been disrupted.
