Nora M. Valenzuela

Nora Valenzuela was President of Network of Iranian-American Professionals of Orange County (NIPOC) from 2008-2009, and remains active in the organization as a senior member of the organization’s Advisory Board. In 1998, her leadership as NIPOC’s Director of Public Relations resulted in the organization receiving a Proclamation from the Orange County Board of Supervisors recognizing October 8 as Mehregan in Orange County.

Valenzuela currently serves as the Program Manager, PMO at Riverside County Information Technology. She received her B.S. in Computer Science and M.S. in Management Science, and, as the Industrial Automation Program Manager for Hewlett-Packard, was instrumental in positioning the company as a leader in the process automation industry in the 1980s.

In 1999, Valenzuela received the Governor’s Community Service Award and in 2007 accepted the Congressional Merit Award from Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez on behalf of the Mehregan Organizing Committee.
